Exudate Management

High Performance Dressing

Overview

Our next generation high-gelling fibre with exceptional performance and patent-protected construction. Reduces the frequency of dressing changes and facilitates easy, one-piece removal.

We designed our High Performance Dressing (HPD) to set a new performance paradigm for fibre dressings.

It is a soft, conformable and highly absorbent non-woven dressing which turns into a cohesive sheet of gel when in contact with wound exudate.

It helps with autolytic debridement and maintains a moist wound healing environment following the principles of advanced wound care.

HPD effectively addresses the key challenges of improved exudate management, gelling and tensile performance along with a patent-protected quilting pattern which aids its performance and also allows intimate wound bed contact.

High Performance Dressing

Our High Performance Dressing (HPD) is an innovative combination of two proven wound care technologies based on CMC* and alginate fibres. A hidden integrity layer in the dressing aids with superior tensile performance.

Exceptional absorbency

Dressings with greater absorbency can hold more exudate and therefore are able to reduce the frequency of dressing changes.1

Intact removal

A hidden integrity layer gives strength and security to the dressing even when gelled. This allows for one-piece removal from the wound bed, minimising disruption at dressing change.2

Clinically proven

In a recent clinical evaluation, 81% of wounds had healed or improved within 6 weeks. Clinicians were also extremely satisfied with the performance of the dressing.3

High Performance Dressing is available both as OEM and under our ActivHeal brand. To find out more about the ActivHeal® Aquafiber Extra range, download resources and view performance data, visit ActivHeal.com

Key Features and Benefits

Exceptional absorbency

Hidden integrity layer

Facilitates autolytic debridement

Patented quilting pattern

Based on CMC technology

Additional strength and absorbency compared to other dressings that are consistently needled

Able to deslough the wound bed and promote granulation tissue progressing the wound towards healing

Creates a soft cohesive gel to maintain a moist wound environment

Enables use on even the highest of exuding wounds while maintaining a moist wound healing environment

Fewer dressing changes

Adds strength and security by enabling clean and easy one-piece removal minimising disruption at dressing change
