Silver Hydrogel

CE Marked & Available in FDA territories

Silver Hydrogel offers gentle debridement and desloughing with a simple gel containing an antimicrobial silver compound.

The antimicrobial hydrogel gets to work fast1 to tackle some of the major roadblocks when it comes to healing wounds. Rapid action against Biofilm1 (in-vitro) and removal of devitalised tissue.

With high water content2, AMS Silver Gel gently donates moisture to dry and necrotic infected wounds.

The antimicrobial silver compound in the Silver Gel is an effective barrier to bacterial penetration and inhibits microbial growth3

Providing optimum viscosity and necessary cohesion properties, the AMS Silver Gel remains on the wound site to facilitate gentle autolytic-debridement and antimicrobial effect3.

Fast action against biofilm

The use of the Silver Hydrogel as an appropriate tool to manage biofilms in wounds has been highlighted due to its ability to disrupt the biofilm matrix and eradicate the microorganisms present1, whilst providing and maintaining a moist wound environment throughout the course of its wear time.

Silver Hydrogel

Silver Antimicrobial Wound Gel is an opaque, amorphous hydrogel containing a high (>80%) water content and water-soluble polymer chains. This formulation increases the moisture within the wound through water donation which makes the gel effective in assisting the debridement and desloughing process in dry necrotic wounds, whilst maintaining a moist wound environment for optimal wound healing.

Key Features and Benefits

Highly viscous gel

Ensures intimate contact with the wound bed

Reduces movement of the gel within the wound compared to less viscous competitors

Facilitates healing according to the principles of moist wound healing

High water content

Assists with gentle autolysis and removal of cellular debris

Up to 84% more antimicrobial silver than competitor dressings

Effective against a broad spectrum of wound pathogens3

Proven fast effect against a range of biofilms1

Sustained antimicrobial activity through the wear time

Reduces the chance of colonies reforming prior to the next dressing change3

Available in a large capacity tube

Suitable for multiple applications on a single patient

Assists with gentle autolysis and removal of cellular debris

Indications For Use
